BLACKSTONE RULES
A simple, searchable rulebook built around clear IDs such as G1.1, G1.2 and G2.1. Use the rule ID when reporting or discussing a specific rule.
QUICK GUIDE
The aim of these rules is not to catch people out. They exist to keep scenes fair, believable and enjoyable for everyone involved.
In Character — information and actions your character can reasonably know or perform.
Out of Character — anything outside your character or the live roleplay scene.
Random Deathmatch — attacking or killing another player without proper roleplay justification.
Vehicle Deathmatch — deliberately using a vehicle as a weapon without valid roleplay.
Using information gained outside the game to benefit your character in game.
Forcing unrealistic actions or outcomes that deny another player a fair chance to roleplay.
The baseline behaviour expected from everyone in BlackStone RP, both in game and in community spaces.
Treat other players, staff and community members with basic respect. Personal attacks, targeted harassment, bullying and deliberately toxic behaviour are not acceptable.
Racism, homophobia, transphobia, religious hatred, slurs directed at protected groups, or comparable discriminatory abuse are prohibited across BlackStone platforms.
Do not turn an in-character disagreement into out-of-character abuse. Likewise, do not use personal OOC disputes as a reason to target somebody in character.
Do not create roleplay built around suicide, sexual violence, graphic sexual content or other extreme sensitive subjects. Staff may stop scenes that cross reasonable community boundaries.
Do not watch a player’s stream, video or external feed to locate them, identify their plans or gain any other in-character advantage.
Use tickets and the documented support process instead of repeatedly tagging or privately messaging staff. Escalation should happen through the support chain.
BlackStone is roleplay first. Keep scenes believable, fair and grounded in what your character can actually do and know.
Remain in character during active scenes. OOC discussion should only be used when genuinely necessary and should never be used to derail or win a roleplay situation.
Your character may only act on information learned through legitimate in-character means. Discord calls, streams, clips, DMs or another character’s knowledge cannot be used as IC knowledge.
Do not force actions, ignore reasonable counterplay or use game mechanics to create an outcome another player has no realistic chance to respond to.
Treat serious threats as serious. If you are clearly outnumbered, restrained or held at gunpoint with no realistic escape, roleplay appropriate fear and self-preservation.
Avoid actions that are obviously unrealistic for the situation simply because GTA allows them. Your decisions should make sense for the character, vehicle and circumstances.
Do not disconnect, force a timeout or otherwise leave the server to avoid an active roleplay situation, arrest, injury, robbery or other consequence.
Do not abuse emotes, animations, map gaps, inventory behaviour, script bugs or any unintended mechanic for an advantage. Report exploitable issues instead.
If a rule is broken during a scene, continue the roleplay where reasonably possible and submit evidence afterwards. Staff intervention mid-scene should be reserved for serious or urgent situations.
Violence must be the result of roleplay, not a shortcut around it.
You must have a clear roleplay reason and reasonable escalation before attacking or killing another player. Existing tension does not automatically justify immediate lethal force.
Vehicles must not be used as weapons against players unless an exceptional active scene makes the contact unavoidable and proportionate. Deliberate random ramming is prohibited.
When violence can reasonably be avoided, make your demands or threat clear enough for the other party to understand what is happening and respond.
Do not escalate every disagreement to firearms or death. Match your response to the scene and give roleplay room to develop.
Do not exploit GTA lunge, spam-punching, animation cancelling or similar combat behaviour that creates an unfair mechanical advantage.
Serious crashes, shootings and other major injuries must be roleplayed. Do not instantly sprint away, repair and continue as though nothing happened.
Criminal scenes should create roleplay for everyone involved, not just maximise loot or force police outcomes.
Do not use a friend, gang member or willing accomplice as a fake hostage to gain an advantage in a robbery or negotiation.
A hostage is part of the scene, not a prop. Communicate with them, keep demands reasonable and give them a fair opportunity to participate in the roleplay.
A compliant victim or hostage should not be harmed without a strong new roleplay reason. A robbery is not an automatic licence to execute somebody.
Do not repeatedly target random players solely for their inventory. Robbery should have a believable context and should not become farm-style gameplay.
Consider location, witnesses, cameras and police presence. Extreme criminal behaviour in busy public areas without concern for consequences may be treated as fail RP.
Escapes must happen through legitimate in-game roleplay and mechanics. Respawning, intentional death or exploiting the map to escape custody is not permitted.
Do not dispose of incapacitated players in ways designed purely to prevent recovery or investigation, such as intentionally placing them where normal roleplay cannot continue.
Drive for the vehicle and the scene you are in. GTA physics are not an excuse to ignore believable consequences.
Normal road vehicles should not be treated like off-road rally cars. Repeated mountain climbing, huge jumps and terrain abuse in unsuitable vehicles may be treated as fail RP.
If a crash would reasonably cause major injury or disable the vehicle, stop and roleplay the outcome rather than immediately repairing or continuing at full speed.
Do not use prolonged swimming or inaccessible water areas simply to avoid police or escape a scene. Use appropriate boats or believable routes where available.
Being pursued by police does not automatically justify opening fire. Escalation to weapons still requires an appropriate roleplay reason.
Police, medical and other restricted job vehicles are for authorised roles unless a specific roleplay scenario and server rules clearly permit otherwise.
Do not bypass a valid driving suspension by exploiting character systems, renaming a character or immediately repeating the test through a loophole.
Emergency-service roleplay should create meaningful scenes without turning public-service roles into easy targets.
On-duty medical staff should not be attacked, robbed or taken hostage simply because they are responding to calls. Exceptional story-driven scenes require strong justification.
Do not deliberately harass, ram or provoke police solely to force a chase or create attention with no meaningful roleplay behind it.
Police involvement in a crime does not make every officer a valid automatic target. Use proper escalation and treat lethal force as a serious decision.
Do not retain or use restricted police or emergency-service equipment unless your role is authorised to possess it or the item has been explicitly approved for civilian use.
Take police numbers, backup, location and available resources into account. Do not act invincible simply because only one officer is currently visible.
The economy only works when progression is earned and technical issues are not turned into advantages.
Do not remain AFK or automate activity to collect wages, rewards or resources without actively playing.
Do not give away large amounts of money, weapons, drugs, vehicles or valuable items simply because you are leaving, taking a break or moving character.
Any duplicated, bugged or incorrectly generated money or items must be reported. Knowingly keeping or distributing exploit-generated assets is prohibited.
Refund requests should include clear evidence showing what was lost and why. Normal client crashes, connection issues or unsupported claims may not qualify for a refund.
Do not use alternate characters, friends or indirect transfers to bypass purchase limits, job restrictions, cooldowns or other progression rules.
Group roleplay should create rivalries and stories without overwhelming the rest of the server.
Groups and gangs must follow the current member and active-scene limits published by BlackStone staff. Do not use unofficial allies to bypass those limits.
Joining an established criminal group should come from meaningful roleplay and trust built in character, not an immediate OOC invitation.
Do not stack multiple groups into one scene simply to overwhelm another group or the police when that would effectively bypass group limits.
Gang wars and repeated attacks should develop from in-character events. Avoid endless revenge loops that leave no room for resolution or other roleplay.
Some locations exist so essential services and new-player interactions can function without constant disruption.
Do not begin robberies, kidnappings or violent crime inside locations currently marked by BlackStone as safe or protected areas.
You cannot run into a safe area to end an already active scene. If roleplay began legitimately outside, staff may allow that scene to continue.
Do not wait outside hospitals, spawn points, job hubs or other protected areas solely to repeatedly target players entering or leaving.
Reports should be evidence-led, calm and handled through the correct process.
Where possible, include clips, screenshots, timestamps and player details with reports. Clear evidence helps staff make consistent decisions.
Use tickets or the proper appeal route for moderation disputes. Public arguments, harassment or campaigns against staff decisions are not acceptable.
If you believe a punishment was incorrect, submit an appeal with relevant evidence and context rather than contacting multiple staff members for a different answer.
The rules cannot list every possible exploit or disruptive behaviour. Deliberately abusing a technicality to defeat the purpose of a rule may still result in action.
BlackStone may update rules as the server develops. Significant changes should be published through the website changelog or community announcements.
